Homework

Please see the Homework Policy below for guidance on supporting your child at home:

Reading

Reading at home with your child is incredibly important and has a huge impact on their learning and achievement in school.

Due to the current Covid situation, reading books and reading records can't be sent home with the children. Instead, we ask you to listen to your child read using books on the Bug Club website. There is a link to the website and a short video to explain logging in and using the website below.

Your child's class teacher has also set up a private channel on Teams through their Hwb account. This will serve as a reading record; when your child's teacher or teaching assistant listens to your child read, they will leave a comment on their private channel. This will include a target - something for them to focus on when reading with you. We ask that you make your own comment on Teams after listening to your child read. There is a short video below explaining how to log into and use Teams.
