Children whose parents frequently read with them in their first year of school are still showing the benefit when they are 15, says an international study.


Please make sure that you listen to your child read their school reading book every day, it won't take long and the benefits of doing it will ensure that your child can succeed in school.

Bug club

hIf you don't have many books, or want to practice some more, the children are able to read a variety of books at their level on the website 'Bug Club'

Their individual passwords and school Login code are written in the front of their homework diaries 



Spellings will be sent home on a Tuesday for the children to learn with a spelling test taking place on the following Monday.

The best method for learning spellings is the Look, cover, write, check method.
