Activity - Make your own Vlog
Today, we want you to combine the skills you have been learning to make a Vlog that will teach someone how to do something.
It might be about planting a seed like the one I did or, something completely different like -
Whatever you choose, make sure that it teachers someone a new skill
What do you think you will need to do first?
Thats right, first you will need to think about where you will make the vlog and make sure it is tidy.
What will you need to do after that?
Yes, collect all the things you need to make the vlog
Next, you need to think about what instructions you will tell the people watching. You could write these down so you don't forget.
What will you need to remember to make sure everyone can hear and understand you
Look at the camera, smile, clear loud voice, clear instructions and demonstrations. Hold the camera still.
Have fun - and remember to send us your vlogs.
Don't worry if you don't get it finished today - we are carrying on with the activity tomorrow

VE DAY - BANK HOLIDAY
Victory in Europe Day
What is this?
May Day is traditionally held on a Monday but will be put back to Friday 8 May 2020. VE Day, or Victory in Europe Day, marks the day towards the end of World War Two when fighting against Nazi Germany came to an end in Europe. The holiday will form part of a three-day weekend of commemorative events on the 75th Anniversary.
What is VE Day?
If you want to learn more about VE Day, you could have a look at the PowerPoint below. If you enjoy researching, read the VE Day information sheet and then have a look at the challenge 'What is VE Day' to show off your learning!
Being Creative
If you enjoy drawing, designing and making things, have a look at the VE Day medal activity. How creative can you be?
If you enjoy some quiet time colouring, have a go at the VE Day colouring sheet.
If you have the resources available and your parents are happy for you to, why not celebrate by creating some bunting to hang up? You could print out the example and colour the Union Flag or be even more creative and design and make your own bunting.
Being a Code-Breaker
Can you translate different messages written in Morse code? You could even write your own messages for someone in your family to solve!
Being a Baker
If you have the ingredients and your parents say it's OK, why not have a go at baking some cupcakes to celebrate VE Day? You could even have a go at decorating them. Yummy!
