Activity

  • Because we haven't seen each other for a long time and we're missing our friends, this week we thought it would be nice if you wrote a message to your friend or friends and email it over to us then we will put it on the webpage for everyone to see.
  • It could include a picture of you or them, you could be holding up the message or just write down what you want to say to them.
  • Have a look at the friend quotes below for ideas if you want to
  • When you've finished making it, take a photo and email to your teacher.

Yesterday you drew 5 pictures ready for today’s activity. Work your way through the Power Point to find out what the problem is you have to try and solve.

Click to open then click on the 'slideshow' tab, then click 'Play from beginning slide' tab.

Now have a go at solving the farmer’s problem using the pictures you made yesterday!

It may take some time to solve, so do not expect to be able to complete this in 2 minutes.  You can keep going back to this logical reasoning problem at any time throughout the day. Having a break and going back to it with a fresh mind might help!   Look out for more clues and answers on tomorrows maths if you didn’t manage to solve today. HAVE FUN!

REMEMBER

You can only take 1 thing in the boat with the farmer at a time.

The chicken cannot be left alone with the corn.

The fox cannot be left alone with the chicken.

All groups – Big Maths CLIC sheet, this sheet is not timed and children will sometimes need help reading the questions. When doing the Big Maths Addition Sheet this week I would like all children to ask a parent to time them doing this sheet.  It doesn’t matter how long it takes you, you are making a record of the time so that you can assess yourself on your mental recall of addition facts over the next few weeks. Please let us know how you get on!
