Eisteddfod

 

Eisteddfod tasks to be completed in readiness for the Eisteddfod on the 5/3/25. Please also checkout the songs and poems that need to be learnt for the Eisteddfod.

 

Optional Home Tasks 

 Design 

Build a model or create artwork in any medium 

Think about things that the children love about Wales, with a focus on places in their locality.  

 Food Technology 

Choose one or more of the following competitions to enter. Bring your entries on the day of the Eisteddfod – 5th March 2025 

Food must be home made.  

DO NOT include nuts or raw egg in your food.  

Provide a list of ingredients with your entry. 

 

  1. Welsh cakes – make and bring a batch of 6 Welsh Cakes. Any shape or flavour. 

  1. A large cake or cupcakes – decorated in a Welsh theme (e.g. dragon, flag, daffodil, leek, famous landmark) 

 

Science 

Prepare a model, poster or PowerPoint that explains one of the following scientific ideas: 

 

  1. The Water Cycle 

  1. Gravity 

  1. The life cycle of one animal (any kind of living creature) 

  1. Solar or Lunar Eclipses

"Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau," (Land of My Fathers" in English) is the national anthem of Wales. It holds great cultural and emotional significance to the Welsh people and is commonly sung at sporting events, national celebrations, and other occasions that evoke a sense of Welsh pride and identity.
