Features of a letter

Over the next two weeks we will be learning about letter writing and some of the different reasons why we might write a letter. Eventually you will be writing your own letter to somebody.

First of all, I would like you to have a chat with an adult and talk about these two questions.

1) Why might you need to write a letter?

2) Why do some people still write letters, even when emails are faster?

On the link opposite you can find an example of a letter that has been boxed into sections. Underneath there is a list of the features that will be needed. Read the letter looking at the sections carefully, then match the features to the correct box.
