To match the number to its quantity,

Please see Teams > Nursery > General > Files  where you will find a

video of myself completing this activity.

Activity 1:

You may completed this in a number of different ways. Please complete it in a way which engages your child and the resources you have available.

Example 1:

Using coloured paper, I would like you or your child to cut out egg shapes and to cut them in half in a zig zag line to show the crack. Top half of the egg to be a number and the second half have dots (or something else) on which represent the number at the top half. I would then like your child to match the eggs.

Start with 1-5. If 1-5 is too challenging, please do 1-3. If your child needs more of a challenge, please go from 1-10.

Example 2:

Your child may use their toys and number flashcards. For example, have 4 cars, ask your child to count them, then they need to find the number 4 flashcard to put next to it and so on. Start with 1-5. If 1-5 is too challenging, please do 1-3. If your child needs more of a challenge, please go from 1-10.

Example 3:

You may have a game or puzzle which also covers this skills if you would like to use that, that is no problem!

Activity 2:

It is important your child has a good understand of basic concepts and simple prepositions.

Concepts and Prepositions to cover:

In, on, big, small, wet, dry, hot, cold, over, under, behind

You may use something of interest to your child such as a toy or teddy or you may create your own humpty dumpty. Please incorporate these basic concepts in your child's everyday life.
