During this half term we have been learning about the Romans, their achievements, tactics in battle, weapons used, what they did for entertainment, etc.
We would like you to design and create a shield, fit for a Roman soldier. This could be drawn or built with junk or cardboard. Think about the colours and patterns used and what made the particular design so effective.
Imagine you were around to witness a real life gladiator battle. Write a descriptive passage of what you saw take place in the Colosseum, try to use all 5 of your senses. Can you upgrade your adjectives as we have practised in school?
